First, sorry for the quality of the picture, I have an perfect excuse for it.......the camera.
I just received this in a package yesterday, mailed all the way from China. A gift from my calligraphy mentor. He wrote the words and did the stamps on the fan, also the drawing. I am so honored, since he is the top 500 respected calligrapher in China. Many people are dieing to get a peice from him, and I get one like this for free.  WOW!My mentor strictly forbids any selling of his peices, since he believes that calligraphy cannot be priced. Well, he doesnot sell his work, but he does make a living by teaching the skill, and he is very good at it. I wasnot charged for my training, since my grandfather is my mentor's best friend since college.  |
